We are excited to announce, in addition to our regular field trips, we now offer educational STEM based field trips that combine education with recreation. Our program is backed by research to provide a memorable experience that blends education and excitement!
In partnership with United Skates of America, we are proud to offer a captivating opportunity for students to explore the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through a fun environment.
Our unique program features a dynamic combination of STEM lessons aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and exhilarating roller skating sessions. Students will dive into an hour of interactive, hands-on STEM instruction, followed by two hours of invigorating roller skating fun.
With access to a comprehensive STEM database filled with expertly crafted lesson plans, our program is designed to ignite curiosity and foster critical thinking. Our passionate instructors will guide students through engaging topics, including the physics principles behind roller skating, the engineering marvels of skate design, the mathematical connections found in the sport, and the technological advancements revolutionizing the roller skating world.

About Our Program:
In 2023, we partnered with United Skates of America to bring a nationally
renowned STEM program to our local community—one that has reached 1.2 million+
students across 125 locations. Backed by research and aligned with both NGSS (Next
Generation Science Standards) and TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills), the
program quickly became a success in Arlington. Since launch, we’ve proudly hosted
2,000+ students from 30+ schools.
Our Mission:
Our mission is simple: make students excited about learning while helping reduce STEM-related anxiety. We show that STEM is all around us—and that learning is fun. Students step out of the classroom and into our skating rink for a 1-hour interactive, hands-on STEM lesson, followed by 2 hours of heart-healthy roller skating. With the option to add lunch, we create a one-stop environment for lasting educational memories.

Behind the scenes: as soon as you book, we begin lesson planning. If you have a topic in
mind, we’ll build around it; otherwise, our trained educators tailor the lesson to your

Additional Details:
• Parents, teachers, and chaperones skate free. Students make their best memories alongside role models.
• If a lunch package is chosen, adults can join lunch for just $3.00 each.
• Safety first: Our trained floor monitors support a safe environment. We provide Skate trainers (as supplies last) at no additional cost for any student who needs one.

We provide TEKS-aligned lessons for grades K–12. You can highlight a topic you’d like us to cover, or let our educators choose a grade-level appropriate topic and tailor a lesson plan for your students.
What is the purpose of the STEM field trips?
Our STEM field trips combine hands-on interactive educational lessons with hearthealthy roller skating exercise to help students see that STEM is fun, exciting, and all around us in our everyday lives, including in fun activities like roller skating.
What standards are your lessons based on?
Our program is backed by research, and every lesson is aligned with both the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Each lesson is thoughtfully designed by one of our trained, certified educators and tailored to your students’ grade level and learning needs to ensure it’s both engaging and age-appropriate.
What grade levels are appropriate?
We serve grades K–12 with TEKS-aligned lessons adapted to each age group.
What is the timeline of a field trip like?
A typical STEM field trip lasts three hours: 1 hour of interactive, hands-on STEM lessons
followed by 2 hours of heart-healthy roller skating. If a lunch package is included, it’s
usually served right after the lesson, but we can adjust the schedule to fit your students’
needs.
What safety measures are in place?
All skating is supervised by our trained staff and we will have active floor monitors at all
times to help guide skaters. We also provide skate trainers at no cost to support beginner
skaters as they learn to skate.
Is skating experience required?
Not at all. Our program welcomes beginners, and skate trainers are available to help new
skaters feel comfortable and confident on the rink.
Can we bring our own food?
Yes. You’re welcome to bring your own food, and we can open or close concessions based on your preference.
How many students can attend?
We require a minimum of 50 students, but there is no maximum. Our lessons can be adapted for multiple grade levels at a time, and we’ve successfully hosted groups of up to 400 students. With support from our STEM Success Center, we ensure every group — no matter the size — has a smooth and engaging experience.

How far in advance do we need to book?
Our STEM Success Center will work with you to secure the best date available. Because
we book quickly, we recommend reserving as far in advance as possible. However, if your
preferred date is open, we’re always happy to accommodate.
